What We Offer
You must be at least 17 years old. Not all of our programs require a HS diploma or GED (if not yet graduated, you will need your legal guardian). 18 years or older for Medication Aide. Social Security card, valid ID or drivers license. You cannot be listed as unemployable on the Employee Misconduct Registry (EMR) and cannot have been convicted of a criminal offense as listed in Texas Health and Safety Code 250.006. Must have a current TB test. The cost for the nurse aide program is $550.
Nurse Aide Program Class Schedule
The class days vary. The class is 4 weeks long. Nurse Aide Program 2020 Class Start Dates Feb 8, March 15, April 19
Classroom and Lab Attire- Must be dressed appropriate on classroom days and in Hunter Green Scrubs on clinical days.
American Heart Association BLS/CPR, Heartsaver, first aid cost $50.
Medication Aide Program
Applicants must be employed as certified nurse aides listed on the Texas Nurse Aide Registry in active status and currently employed in a facility licensed under Texas Health and Safety Code Chapter 242 on class start date or employed on class start date as non-licensed direct care staff in a facility licensed under Chapter 247; a state supported living center or ICF/IID and have 90 days previous employment in the year preceding the class start date. The class schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 9a-1p X 11 weeks excluding Holidays. The cost is $750.
Medication Aide Update

This course is only 4 weeks long. You will have hands on training. Graduates of this course will be prepared to obtain an entry-level position as a phlebotomist. Tuition for this course is $800. Payment option: $250 down payment, $200 the following Friday after class starts, $200 the next Friday and a final $150 the last Friday of class. Optional NHA Certification Exam: $117 (paid directly to NHA)
